Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts

A black and white Akita dog standing on grass.

Bailey

Bailey was the first Akita we acquired; her picture was the one on the original homepage. She was nicknamed "little momma" because she was actually the smallest in her litter. We also called her "gazelle " because she could leapfrog over dogs a lot bigger than her. She was a loving, good-tempered sweetheart who always had to hog the floor

We also called her "gazelle " because she could leapfrog over dogs a lot bigger than her. She was a loving, good-tempered sweetheart who always had to hog the floor fan. That was hers. We also called her Queenie because she ran the show. It was her world, and we were allowed in it

Bailey

The girl who came into our lives suddenly, who was,  at first, cautious and somewhat scared of people, was suddenly surrounded by love, attention, security, and, of course,  treats. She always announced her presence by holding her precious chew bone and howling at us to let us know she was ready for run time. We were blessed to have her, and she( and her beautiful voice) will be missed
